2. Slow Down
Personally I think here we have the hit of this album. The song beat truly give us the concept of the whole album, no other song in this record did as well as ‘Slow Down’ did. I love this as the album second single and when it was released made me think why this isn’t the lead single. By the way, the video for the song was released few days ago and Selena looks stunning again. I love how this song can actually turn from something ‘speed up’ to a ‘slowed down’. The beat in the beginning remembers Nicki Minaj’s ‘Starships’ song and I like the fact that you can hear that beat as a background sound in the whole song if you listen with attention. The pre chorus is a example of a speed up verse and the ‘slowed down’ chorus has a dubstep mixing that sounds really great, and it is followed by a ‘speed up’ verse that repeats ‘song ong ong’ and mixes with ‘oh uh oh’.
favorite lyric: ‘I wanna steal you for a rhythm intervention’ (what actually happens)
favorite part:screaming parts like ‘yeeah baby slow down the song’, ‘you know i’m ready for it for it for it yeeeah’.
catchy parts: 'breathe me in, breathe me out', 'i-i-it's the cataracs' (this is about the producers of the song, if you are used to listen to this song, you re going to miss and sing it watching the video)
RATING: 5 of 5 stars
